With new participants joining, the three-hour practice session was lively.
On August 30, 2026, the 43rd "Basic Sword and Staff Training Course" was held at the Fukagawa Sports Center in Koto Ward, Tokyo.
This time, Mr. Hiroaki Inagaki and Mr. Yuichiro Suzuki, both members of our association and affiliated with the Ibaraki branch dojo, were in charge of instruction. As the instructors were different from usual, the participants learned the basics of sword and staff techniques with a fresh perspective. The training proceeded in a friendly atmosphere throughout, and the three-hour session ended in no time.
Nine people participated in the workshop that day, bringing the total number of participants, including instructors and staff, to 14. Members traveled all the way from Shizuoka Prefecture, and new student participants joined, making for a lively and energetic training session.
After the training session, the group moved to a nearby soba restaurant, a tradition for the participants. While sharing a meal, they talked about their impressions of the training and Aikido, deepening their camaraderie.
The next workshop is scheduled to be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 4:00 PM at the Shinjuku Cosmic Sports Center, in collaboration with the NHK Aikido Club.
We sincerely look forward to your participation.
